he sold on the 20th, before ex and record date though. I find that a bit odd. That’s like $90k of missed dividend plus the lost gains on reinvestment. If he has been buying and selling throughout the year then perhaps he expected a larger dip on ex day, thus a lower entrance point.. Who knows, I sure don’t. But that’s what I’ll tell myself to make myself feel a bit better!

Reality is that he probably feels that there are better investments to be made in the near term that he can flip.
