Perhaps you should look at how ID receives the majority of his shares - performance rights.

He gets handed them on a platter as part of his remuneration (in addition to the $1.5M he is on).

Not quite the same skin as shareholders that actually have to use their hard earned cash to invest.

I'm starting to think good old rolla may be closer to ID than you think.

He did mention that he knew about the commencement of drilling, prior to The ASX announcement (which was denoted as price sensitive).

There is no way anyone could/should know this information prior to an ASX announcement.
