Since there seems to be so much speculation on what my conversion means I thought I will take you through the tax implications of a pharma TO/sale at various points in the future for me personally.
1. Deal now until 31 August 2021: Better to have held the options unconverted.
2. Deal 1st Sept 2021 to 10 Mar 2022: Neutral.
3. Deal 11 Mar 2022 to 31 Aug 2022: Much better to have converted now.
4. Deal after 1 Sept: Neutral.
Make of this what you will.
