It looks as though the discussion on this is dying down, so at the risk of prolonging it a little, here is another lens to look at this through.

Before the sales disclosed in the announcement, DrC had 8.59m shares.

If we eventually get bought out for $30 (a tad conservative in the eyes of some perhaps), this would have yielded $258m.

However, having sold 300,000 shares, he would now be in line to receive $249m.

Now $9m is likely to be a huge amount for us on HC to contemplate missing out on - but in a couple of years receiving $249m instead of $258m probably wouldn't register too much (first world problems, I know).
