I wonder if he's fixed those issues he emailed about six months ago, while this buy shows confidence in the business going forward it will also add to his personal coffers at the expense of many disgruntled shareholders who've had to sell due to a SP decrease over the last 18 months, the fact that he gets these shares cheaper because of over ramped expectations from management that didn't materialise while others have had to sell doesn't make me happy at all, I don't think there's any shareholders that wouldn't agree that some of the comments from management have previously effected the SP, getting cheap shares off the back of that is appalling IMO.
