If NST were going to make an offer, I would imagine that they would still be dotting all of the eyes.
Also, I wouldn't imagine there would be much discussion. I reckon they would just let the offer do the talking.
The rumour at the time was that NST wanted to buy 100% of the project, but TAM had invested too much time and money into it already to let it go, considering what they would have got for it. Things have changed a bit now though.
