Yesterday I had to ring EUR regarding the notice for their B options. I was put through to Anna. For those who don't know, Anna is Paul Berend's wife and this notice is the pair of them buying CLE shares on market for their super. Albeit it is funds that they get as part of the super guarantee in the remuneration packages. This money is their money and they can buy any share they want or asset they want provided they keep it in their superfund. They choose to buy CLE.

The reason for the call was to find out the date that the reissue of the B options was due, as no advice has been sent. I have a good number of the old B options and do not have sufficient funds to cover them. The original payment date was the 14 April. If it remained as the 14th, I would need to sell down CLE to top up to meet the payment. In short, the notice was delayed and the payment date should be deferred by 10 or so days.

I expressed that I may need to sell down some CLE shares with the intention to re-top up as some accounts finally get paid. Anna's response was that she can't tell me how to run my affairs, but to find the shortfall by any other means and at no point sell the CLE shares at this stage.

I know what I read into this. I am only looking in with snippets that I get fed. Anna is in the melting pot and further in than many in the pot. I get a vote of confidence, not just the long term but also for the immediate term. Read into this whatever you like.
