Generally charities need income streams which is what the GQG shares provide. Unless the charity sees a risk to dividends they wouldn't ordinarily sell out. But they could be facing a cash crunch which their income streams can't cover which would be a plausible reason to sell. Also if they can reinvest in lower beta assets that also provide a similar or better income stream.
