Mounting panels is easy work and this task was typically done by unskilled workers.

The new regulations require that this is now performed by licensed electricians which drives up the cost of construction and has made many solar projects non viable.

The industry needs to find a balance, a sensible outcome would be to have the grunt work checked and terminations completed by a licensed electrician.

But this is driven by unions, not sense.
