Blaming poor performance on covid is a cop-out and doesn’t make total sense. Sales of cheap beer in bottleshops boomed during covid and their beer has been so cheap for so long it wouldn’t make the company any money. They also had this “huge deal” with a bottleshop group in QLD so sales should have spiked during covid period? Also, how can wages for the company be slashed so dramatically? Wonder what the finer details were of the $100k+ tax incentive or Govt grant was that enabled them to keep trading. Also saw an interesting post on social media recently from a disgruntled supplier that’s still trying to be paid a substantial amount for work done at Sorrento long ago. Wonder how many other suppliers are in the same boat? Finally, can anyone tell me if it is legal to sell beer without date stamping each bottle with Best Before or bottling dates?
