I believe that CLIA labs endorse their tests, I.e. they must be sure it's safe before selling it. I guess it's up to each individual lab as to how they would cover their liability.

I'm no expert, however I believe that data collected by the CLIA lab over time would be suitable for submitting to the FDA?
