Fibbo will do whatever it takes to fearmonger and create doubt.

They probably already know who the front runner is and it is simply a matter of timing, ie. giving their notice or serving out a contractually appointed time frame before being able to freely move across to a new opportunity at Brainchip.

It could also be as simple as having found the right person but that person is unwilling to give notice as there is an upcoming milestone at their current employer which will provide for a load of options and so financially, they gave a 6-month availability window to PVDM in the early discussions.

I personally don't see an issue with PVDM as a temp CEO. We're on track, the chips are now in the commercialisation stage and that is with PVDM at the helm. Things seem to be going well and have been on track for some time now. If we were spinning out of control or we were still in the development stage then I'd be screaming for them to appoint a CEO so that PVDM can do what he does best, work on developing the IP to get us to the development stage, but we're already there so that's not the urgency at the minute. It's actually probably the opposite right now, having someone like PVDM at the helm, who inherently understands the tech and can talk to it like it is second nature is likely a good thing while we work towards the initial IP assignments and partnerships.
