You can't imagine that these discussions can extend for too long, given the constant indications given by management that MPL IS a valid application with quality of life enhancing results for dogs. No global pharmaceutical company or other potential partner wants to end up in the Snooze and You Lose category! If they can sniff the $$$ ... they will be hot to have the first mover advantage.
