This post got my attention. Drake were very interested in the lease company side of the airline business, this I got from the one who runs it during the EGM debacle. They have more aircraft than the airlines and the OEM,s will jump to any demands they make. If they deem that these sensor application now sort after are a great addition for there sales pitch then yes the OEM,s will install them on new builds, its really all about sales and competition.
add the lease companies to the airlines lining up then yes it's off to the races.
