The positive I read into this delay in approval for the one final test by Boeing to meet FDA certification approval is that everything else in the manuals/ training material for installation of Aft Pressure Bulkhead (APB) application in this Boeing model (and for the Delta application lodged in conjunction) meets FDA requirements.
This could mean that SMN could have manuals almost completed and applications ready to go for a range of other Delta and Boeing models plus possibly one with Airbus or another carrier as well.
It would not surprise me to find that, with the depth of their testing, Boeing is well under way with preparation for a range of other installation areas in their planes, apart from the APB installation.
