Very exciting news!! Invokana will not be for everyone suffering diabetes, but a huge breakthrough, PromarkerD is another story, a benefit to all patients, regardless of choice of drug.
There are contraindications & some potential side effects for Invokana, All drugs do have some. I am staying heavily invested in DXB for this reason, for a safe add on for CKD in multiple indications. A very long trial, maybe halfway through if you can handle the wait & have patience. Also utilising PromarkerD.
Multiple Big Pharmas vying for increased indications for SGLT2 drugs in indications. This has been addressed in previous posts here, no need to re-hash.
