Yeah I agree hence why I didnt really give it a value. Having said that I imagine that there would be economies of scale that clearpier would be able to tap into. I mean what they really paid for was all of the users of Tech Mpires network. I assume that they will be able to capitalise on that somewhat. I am assuming that for whatever reason they have a better ability to get supply sources which was TMPs biggest problem and that combined with the economies of scale of their operation they would be able to drive down costs somewhat and would likely be able to make the operation modestly profitable in time.
One thing I am not clear about is how the tech Mpire systems will be integrated into their wider network. Given the ownership structure (10% owned by TMP) it sounds like it would be a seperate operation. Not sure if this limits the benefits of scaling/integrating the 2 operations. As others said at the time would have been better to get an equity stake in the whole operation.
