    Straw man argument. I never claimed such expertise. My point about the Telstra channel is that the iWebGate products are not selling through it. Reading a cash flow report which says $58K of receipts in a quarter is all the expertise you need.

    I never suggested all companies are configuring and securing networks correctly, I suggested not everyone is doing it wrong. My point here was that iWebGate's products do not go anywhere near the levels of current best practice (no packet firewall, no IDS, no internal network or user account monitoring, no egress filtering, no APT scanning, no DDoS protection, etc.). All iWebGate do is install a hardened reverse proxy machine at the network ingress point, and although that had merit in 2001, it is not an appropriate measure of defence against 2016's common attack vectors such as spear phishing and watering holes.

    I should have read the article before I typed the above paragraph, but I assumed you had found something which supported your argument, not mine. It tells you just what I have told you.

    Under her "What’s Wrong with the Current Security Model?" subheading she says "About 15 years back, a solid perimeter defense was all an organization needed to secure its data center..." Exactly right, and that solid perimeter is just what iWebGate are trying to sell today. That is why IWG sales are so poor. It is not an effective approach any more.
