    The fund managers lock in profits take their bonuses for the year and go for a nice northern hemisphere summer holiday in June is the reasoning. Ready to start the new year.

    So volumes are down, loses are taken etc. Usually means a softer market but of course not certain. A cyclical trend like the the January effect.

    I'm pretty sure though it there are not too many fund managers dabbling in SMA but the overall trend.
