    From what i can understand a lot of the research in this area is going into the half life and stabity of the peptides, i assume in order to give them time to deliver their load or function. The starting point for phylomer library was ancient bacteria that have already achieved a high level of stability through natural selection in harsh environments, and apparently that still needed a boost from the half life extension technology. Thought it was interesting that phylogica and Aileron seem to have both been present at the same day in a number of presentations on the technology. Hopefully they are working together to produce the suuuppperrr peptide that will seal the deal. Certainly havent heared much about the source of any peptides Aileron are using. Roche also seem to have some deals of similar structure with other companies that specialise in synthesizing peptides rather than using natural ones. Maybe theyre just covering all bases.
