The open/close of all the more heavily traded speccies is interesting viewing. Particularly if the SP is in the 10-20c range, where the spread can be up to 5%.
You can sometimes jump a huge queue just by buying in the auction period. I'm sure you know this, but others might not. I did this with TEN a few times. A buy order at 20c would take forever to get filled, but sometimes the big players will make it close at 20c and I can just look for an indicative close of 20.5 rather than wait in the sell queue. However the big players can trump you easily enough by changing their orders in the last few seconds if the surplus volume isn't too big.
