Could be a bit of both ie Pharma says 'we need this' and scientific advisors said 'you need this' or the advice was something like partner now and you get $2m + $142m milestones or come with a full data pack and you get $10-100m + 400m-1b milestones or the extreme version which was highlighted in the PYC for dummies post ie a full take out of the iMYC tech for a gazillion.
Just keeps underlining why I was so excited by the recent director appointments - one is the biologics champion and the other is the oncology champion but both know the science from the inside and decided to join the party.
