    Brass, do you know this is the case? Or speculation? As far I understand the use of the word "Toy" in relation to drones is determined by what the end user is doing with the item.

    Toys are used by people for hobbies and recreation, they aren't required to have any permits etc.

    Drones are used by people for commercial, law enforcement, photography and they are required to be registered is the authorities.

    AEE, falls into both categories. However the ROVA and Airselfie would be classed as toys manufactured by AEE.
