Will they publish / present it before the patent has been granted though ? Still waiting on a patent filed in February to be awarded also.

The time between filing and the eventual allowance of a patent can be extraordinarily long. Remember the
PYC patent granted in early 2015 that was originally filed in 2005? A decade is a long time to be holding off from publishing or presenting at conferences….
Robert Hayes said in the recent Conference Call that the first paper for publication was in final draft and that he hoped to submit it to a respected journal by the end of last month, so that may well have happened already. My understanding is that, once the patent application has been filed, you’re free to publish or present.
Of course, the wait between submission of a paper and publication can also be lengthy, as I know excruciatingly well from another biotech in which I’m invested. If you’re lucky, it might happen within a few months. With multiple rejections and/or reviews though, it can string out to over a year.
