interesting times ahead! Cash is actually quoted as being 29mil. And the margin on that is RBA cash rate + 0.5%. So they would be earning roughly 580k per year.
The ETF launch would have to attract a massive amount of funds to make any decent money. Even if it had 100mil under management it is unlikely they would be able to make much more than 0.5% margin on it. So there is another 500k.
Trading volumes will need to do a lot of the work in order for this business to be profitable. International trading may well be higher margin as well.
Self Wealth needs to carefully focus on its marketing going forward and increase its user base exponentially from here I think.
