    Imo, next cab off the rank for Alexium will be the European commercial launch of Alexiflam NF for cotton products.

    Here’s a review of the reported progress of this particular venture over the past 6 months. Emphasis is mine.

    Since attending Techtextil in Germany in May, we have exceeded the International Durability Standard of 50 washes at 60°C. We continue to work directly with key manufacturers of various flame-resistant applications such as workwear and United Nations tenting in license and global distribution negotiations for our FR products. The goal is to identify key strategic partners with an established presence in the textile market who can rapidly expand Alexium’s global reach. The first Alexiflam NF production trials with both our direct sales, license and distribution partners are likely to occur prior to the end of the calendar year.

    During 2017FY, Alexium launched a marketing campaign around Alexiflam NF and the result of that effort was a large number of customers ready to convert to Alexium’s chemistry and a number of global partners interested in licensing agreements of some scope following recommendations to increase wash durability which has now been achieved.

    Alexium is working with potential partners through a distribution/licensing strategy which will accelerate the penetration into these markets. Alexiflam NF is now compliant with REACH registration in the EU.

    We are currently running production trials directly with end customers and with distribution partners with revenue anticipated in Q4 CY18.

    Alexium currently working with potential licensees to bring this product to the EU market with significant sales expected in 2018.

    Fully REACH registered for sale into Europe and Asia with scale-up trials currently ongoing with multiple potential customers in Europe and Asia.

    Currently have several customers validating chemistry in their labs.

    European customer moved into scale-up phase with Alexiflam NF, supported by potential Alexiflam NF licensee.

    Two additional European customers in sampling and prototype phases for Alexiflam NF in Europe.



    Here’s a review of what the company has said re the market opportunity for NF in cotton:

    • Incumbent FR technology has known hazards and off-quality issues;
    • Alexiflam NF is price competitive and free from regulatory pressure
    • Total worldwide potential for chemistries to FR-treat cotton estimated to be $100M+ per year.
    • European/Asian workwear market valued at $40-$60 million per year

    Finally, these are the key milestone identified for commercialisation of Alexiflam NF in Europe
    1. Finalize customer validation and move to 3rd party trials with potential partners;
    2. Potential customers are currently conducting trials and evaluating the product; and
    3. Upon completion of successful validations and trials, our next step is to sign agreements with partners.

    I think that, at this stage, NF appears closer to realising revenue than the FR in military program.
