You seem to have forgotten the GFC and the financial carnage that went with it here and overseas. In short we live in a different world now. The market movers today just don't have the ability to leverage the way it was applied seven or eight years ago. The Investment banks which funded the growth don't exist any more. Deflation is now the worry. Today, too many back room boys and girls rule the roost. Business needs to plant the seeds to encourage a new generation of entrepreneurs to come through to support development and growth. In the meantime the BRC is signalling business leaders to keep their foot on the brake.
