"Oh please, spare me the talk about how we need to give it time and have patience."
You don't have to do anything. You can sell. You can weep and moan. You can stay. Your response is entirely up to you. I gave you my personal choice and my view that it's a matter of choice hasn't changed.
As for the question of backbone. I can't help wondering what you think Bob should have done while others were in charge. He actually had less power to change things than others. You and I as shareholders had a little power and more rights to try to make a difference.
You don't in any case know what Bob tried to do internally. You don't know what he sacrificed to work under what we now know to have been a bully. You don't know exactly why Dirk left.
So if you are looking to place blame you might ask yourself what you did. How did you try to hold them to account? What research did you do? What complaint have you lodged with ASIC? How did you put yourself on the line to try and bring change? What emails have you written to the board or the leadership team to express your displeasure?
I sure hope you voted against the rem report and the reappointment of cheney last year. Maybe you'll vote against his performance rights this year to register your displeasure. He's the only one who remains from the old guard who had a legal responsibility to do something.
Life is as fickle as the roll of a dice. It's not all about smarts and courage and skill. Sometimes we misplace our trust. Sometimes we feel we have no choice but to make the best of the cards we were dealt. There's a measure of luck despite the beliefs some have about the "law of attraction". But making oneself miserable because one is stuck in an awful situation is a recipe for ill health and worse.
Hence my choice.
