In the months gone by there were statements made about how this technology might be useful for enterprises such as miners etc which might be able to get by without having to connect to the grid. With all the recent discussion about the impending release of a range of EV onto the market and the problem in being prepared for them in terms of charging stations etc in an Australian context, does anyone know if the technology might prove useful in providing a site for charging in remote areas (say off grid) and also be helpful in quickening charging times in the more populated areas (say on grid)? I don't understand the electrics involved except that charging times seem to be still far longer than ideal (particularly at charging stations). Any technology that could be adapted to overcome this problem seems to have a very bright future and in the here and now time scale!!
