I can fully appreciate the viewpoint of some that a shiny office with busy workers conveys a sense of legitimacy and I can fully appreciate (and share somewhat) that a poorly kept shoebox conveys the opposite.
But in 2019 where so much can be performed digitally and mobile, plus recognising that JAT itself has no warehousing, it is effectively deal brokering and supply chain management for the subsidiary and affiliated companies. It's customers are in another country and face to face meetings will more often be conducted in China, not at JAT's office.
Google BUBS head office (2/6 Tilley Lane, French's Forest, New South Wales). They too are in a shared building with a dentist, quantity surveyor, community driven music therapist and a printing company. Does this make their operation less legitimate or does it simply recognise that they don't need unnecessary infrastructure and overhead to deliver their operations?
