I'm also a f/t carer. Are you here in Aussie? Cos your area health might have help options available for you. I'm guessing you've already explored these? The big one of course is the My Aged Care Package (I think it's called?). If ever you're in need of this one I can suggest 2 things. Firstly, get assessed early as possible, there's a waiting list. And secondly, make sure she's assessed for her current state of health and not one from several years ago when she was less incapacitated. We're eligible for a Level 3 package, but the waiting list is up to 2 years, by which time it may well be irrelevant.
Failing these, I hope with BOT you got in early, you got in cheap and you got in big, enormously big. And that your mum is always too well to need such things
