A thought: if there are 464 referral IDs in the OzBargain random referral generator, then there should be at least 1000s of SelfWealth members on OzBargain (or 'from' OzBargain), since certainly not all of them would have edited their account settings to add their referral ID. And apparently my trick is not a very unique trick.

But that is evidence that OzBargain and other 'organic' bargains sites or financial sites are contributing a lot of referral sign-ups to SelfWealth, particularly through the Referral Bonus Trades system.

Not bad, having to supply $95 of free brokerage (at ~$50 cost?) to get somebody signed up. Not sure if that is included in the $67 cost per new client. Then my calculations show $262+ annual revenue per active user, but that includes a significant proportion who have only been members for <6 months, so it would actually stabilize higher than that, maybe $400+.

Advertising for the quarter was $75k. There were 4200 new active clients. That comes out at $18 advertising per new active client (from $65 last quarter).

How does '$67 cost per new client' equate to $18 advertising per new active client? It must depend on the definition of 'cost per new client'. It may include something else like the referral system (bonus brokerage).
