In regards to SP best way to understand it is test buy even the smallest amount. I was talking to a hedge fund manager couple weeks ago in regards to why stocks behave the way they do because Ive noticed something off in the past with other stocks..he did give me a detailed answer but I should probably keep it to myself xD however he also suggested I read a book called Flash boys by Michael Lewis, hope that can help you in some sort of way.
