If I recall correctly I think the fab that made the initial prototype was SONY. They were a key part of the initial development but did not feel that the product would able to be made. Needless to say they will have continued their interest through to the present, just not as a partner. But that is the kind of interest AP knows is out there I think. Anybody in that world is apparently well aware that the product is coming.
