As someone who has dealt with Fund Management, it's clear that you cannot take the risk of investing other people's money in new ventures or businesses that have no financial track records. Your concern would be, I assume, positive balance sheets, at least 3 or 4 years of good track record, great fundamentals, no or very little debts, low P/E ratio, etc.. In fact, when you invest for others, you can't afford to be "reluctant" but just walk away.
There's nothing for you to be reluctant about with AKP. Although you can definitively be interested. Read about it, familiarise yourself with the technology and it might just grow on you.
But at this point in time, I think it's very easy, this stock isn't for you.
