The thing about the video, a misnomer if there ever was one, because there is nothing to see that is actually moving, is that the quality of the music, as obscured by the background sound, is missed, and is thus the most misleading aspect of the demo. The first thing to actually note is that the concept of creating full spectrum music from the coordination of an array of full-movement pixel elements stepping in and out at ultrasonic speed actually works and works well. This is the DSR concept at work. And it does work!
Note the company's comments when describing the video:
"... Notwithstanding the considerable background noise generated by fan filters (FFU’s) of the cleanroom, the chip clearly demonstrates the chips frequency range and clarity of sound. ..."
Every poster has focussed on the background noise from the fans, but I don't recall many comments on the fact that it is playing serious music!
Just imagine the background sound not being overlaid for a second and recall that what you are hearing is a piece of music of soaring highs and booming base frequencies that would rattle cups and saucers on your coffee table and make your guts jiggle. And that all of this is coming from a single 1cm square of circuitry 1mm thick. Remember that a single chip has only ever been expected to go into something small like a cell phone or an entry level smartphone, and probably more than one would be used today. A single chip is not expected to deliver a huge sound output. When this chip is used in a multichip array of 4, 8, 16 or even 64 chips or more, the sound volume and frequency range would ramp up dramatically. And there would be no background fan hum. That volume would certainly rattle the cups. Yet a 64 chip array would be no bigger than a beer coaster.
The potential of this device is going to change the audio market forever, and its current owners (including yours truly) own it completely!
How good is that!
I am as frustrated as anyone else at any and all delays, but COVID caused delays just have to be accepted as a fact of life you cannot change. So no point moaning about them. Nobody is responsible for them, and especially nobody in the company. The company has indicated end of Feb for a chip, and I see no reason to doubt that they believe that to be reasonable.
I put posters like plooto on ignore ages ago as simply being "background noise" and anti-constructive voices determined to exert negative influence for whatever reason. It sounds like that has been a good decision. The idea that this is a scam of any sort is almost Trumpian in its stupidity, and worthy of the QAnon stable of total BS. You would have to be pathologically suspicious and paranoid to fall for it. IMO.
