Transfer to a fab normally takes some time. On the WBT thread their memory chip is quoted as between 6-12mths best case.

The difference with AKP is they have at every step of the way been getting their neighbors across from the pub at the Rehovot Science Park to make small adjustments to the manufacturing process as they have refined and corrected the technology.

I'll give you three guesses as to which semiconductor company they partner to manufacture the first order with?

Product design to incorporate new technology takes the time. Whoever makes the first order will need to design the product around this new technology.
