Hi mate, thanks for your comments. I think you'll notice the first uptick in revenue and positive ROE - albeit small ones - are off the back of new management taking over in 2019, as exhibited by the June 2020 figures that you've highlighted.

I'm not particularly concerned about growth prospects, as it appears not only are management stripping out unnecessary costs, their business model is moving towards earnings from royalties/licences and I also note management is now spending money again on advertising and marketing.

Given a lot of the automotive retail products they provide are derived from contracts over several years, it would seem there's not much they can do in the short term with existing customers, except for noting that as new car sales increase, this should be reflected in revenue and subsequently earnings. This is also a current trend not only in Australia, but also Africa, where a substantial portion of their revenue comes from.

An interesting note that DataDot South Africa has indicated they've microdotted 5m vehicles in South Africa (as at mid to late 2020) since microdotting became mandatory on all new vehicles in 2012. This reflects an average of 625,000 vehicles per annum, which would suggest that DDT is a major player in the market there.
