At the first hurdle involving humans the product fell over. Humans decided the risk wasn't worth the reward. And we learned that the trial designers, who I imagine were overseen by management failed to design a study that would attract patients.
It's not a great start and brings in to question the competency of all involved.
The product, however good it is, is useless without the right people to make it happen. Concentrating and believing in just the product isn't enough.
