I may be wrong but I don't think there would be any monitoring of progress after initial diagnosis then trial scan. My understanding is they scan the lump to see if the ibx technology indicates cancerous cells. The lump is then surgically removed and sent for biopsy to verify if ibx data was accurate or not? It seems that whether the lump is cancerous or not it will be removed regardless to verify the test by a third party. I guess the biopsy would happen anyway under current best practice. The end goal seems to be if ibx data is validated then lumps that are tested as non cancerous would no longer need to be removed.
