Yes TER is a cash cow. However, coal prices coming down so it makes sense the company goes back to twice a year re dividends. The company has paid excellent dividends which is why i am heavily invested with them. We all have reasons why we buy a stock and mine is simply dividends. Whether the price of the stock goes up or down will be heavily weighed against the price of coal - Thermal. Currently stands at around $196. I am a long term holder so happy to keep the stock in my portfolio for at least the next two years. Much better than putting money in the bank getting 1 to 3 %.
Noise about greens and coal will continue due to politics. Take the noise out and just look at the price of coal and your trading methods. Get what you need out of the stock and then move on. Have a plan before you buy the stock and make changes to your plan if you need to. I look at my plans daily and make changes if i think it needs it.
