The Fernview landfill was sold to Satthsiri’s private company, M8 Holdings Pty Ltd, as part of the DOCA. All that M8S was left with is a lease of half of the Maddington site. M8H pre-contracted to sell the landfill to a Thai listed company, Clover Power (SET:CV), of which Satthsiri is the CEO, and paid 95% deposit (A$11m) up front, which was the money that was used to fund the DOCA. CV listed in 2021 with a $50m IPO and has recently been placed on warning list by SET over concerns about solvency. CV backed out of the Fernview purchase and has demanded its deposit back, and is threatening to sue M8H. Latest SET announcement from last week says that Fernview is about to be sold by M8H with proceeds to repay the deposit. Go read the SET:CV announcements for more info.
