Latest data from Israel show the Pfizer vaccine is over 90% effective after the second dose. I think (but am not certain) that Israel have chosen to go with the Pfizer vaccine only, and not the less effective alternative.
I stand corrected on the upper limit of my above comment about 65-80% effectiveness, as Pfizer appears to be in the low to mid 90%s.
