The only logical (?) local Oz explanation is electioneering politics (one can not be seen near coal) or worse Oz vs international politics regarding coal.
There is absolutely no other known reason except perhaps long term fear of world recession due to imminent end of QE and interest rates going up affecting consumption? In that scenario the whole ASX should go down like a stone.
