Risk and Reward are very interesting words. For me the dividend is Very rewarding, but only because I(luckily)risked my capital 2.5 years ago. This latest dividend represents a 20% return on my initial investment. Claiming that you are poorly done by because you have risked your capital for the last 3 months- well I think that is a bit harsh and unrealistic.
Everything seems against us at the moment but in fact nothing has changed apart from the daily negative influencers coming on here to create the fear. Have a look at all the metrics from this time last year. Coal price similar, whc about to pay out debt, 1.03 bil shares on issue, about to receive .08c unfranked div, aud higher. Compare to now.
The company is making good money now, great money when prices were high and responsible capital allocation of funds. If you dont believe the story then the options are simple and you are probably better off investing in something different.
