Looking at the buy back it seems to me that buy backs are not a bad idea if a company thinks their shares are trading way to cheaply. I don't think in WHC's case it will work out well for shareholders. Our shares have gone from about $2 to over $10. They are gambling with our money that the coal price and share price will stay up. If we drop back to say $5 they will have given away many millions of $ of our money. If they had paid out the profits in big divs who is going to complain.
