it’s hard to say as this company has only become profitable over the last year. Albeit very profitable!
If they pay the same dividend in 6 months time then the yield for FY24 is 17%. Given the number of pearls they have said that they will sell this half, I would imagine that this half will again produce a record profit - in which case they could pay a dividend around 2c.
A lot depends on the pearl price. There has been talk that it has come off a bit, which I believe is what is currently holding back the SP. But if the price stays anywhere near the $103/pearl they got at the September auction then we’re looking at $40m-$50m NPAT for the year.
