What will be in the best interests of RIs??, if inadequate deal/ no deal occurs;
ASX 2.1; part off; (will repeat)
’the directors of the entity consider that the prices at which its securities are trading on ASX are materially lower than the underlying value of its net assets and the entity is intending to provide security holders wishing to sell their holdings with an alternative mechanism (such as a redemption or buy-back facility) to liquidate their holdings at a price closer to their net asset value ‘
Imo, huge emphasis should be placed on the last line ‘ .... liquidate their holdings at a price closer to their net asset value’
Inadequate deal?, reflect on the impact of a further placement and debt, (imo, needs to cover 2 quarters minimum) and the proviso that a deal may be pending?, in a timely manner or not?, market sentiment on this scenario?
If delisting will protect RIs to some extent it may be the preferred option, imo.
All the above my thoughts only, happy to hear why the above may be baseless.
