I think it will be a much safer mining small-cap investment for you than many. I'm not saying it won't be frustrating but I suspect a decent investment.
BTW It took me a long long time to get the feel for mining investment. I also still get a lot of surprises (often enough nasty).
I go out on a limb and say the same for Flight time (because there is wait for it - survivor bias).
All IMVHO.
