Not forgetting CDx indications with clinical trials & drug development for diabetes & other indications. This is why I think PIQ patent is value adding, remembering many of these drugs have been on market for some time & Pharmas are looking to increase indications, based on data from clinical trials. PIQ ASX are now in the process of analysing thousands of blood samples from completed clinical trials for Janssen/Johnson & Johnson. I’m not 100% sure if samples from both trials. These drugs come with many benefits but also some black box warnings for genital infections & a higher risk of limb amputation.
Whether that is a chicken & egg thing in diabetic pathophysiology or related to drugs it will depend on longer term collection of data.
There is a lot of competition in the space of Diabetes between Big Pharmas for Type2 DM oral medications with extra preventative indications for kidney disease & cariovascular risks associated with diabetes & drug development.
